Why people buy Macbook with $999 where they may get ASUS ROG with $990 having almost 4 times better configuration?

First of all the consumer level is very different. Some are very passionate to buy MacBook, just because they have the favor on it and they do not understand what is speciality. They just go for brands. The gamers definitely do not go for MacBook, but they will go for ROG here. Average people do not want to spend this huge amount of money for regular use. They will go for mid-range. Apart from the passionate people another group of people also prefer the MacBook. They are the researchers.
I am not talking about the iPhone, and to me, that is absolutely meaningless compare to price. Apple product is always over expensive, but it also dominates the global market. The only reason is its UX design and OS Optimization.
At the very 1st time apple brought the concept of the touch screen on hand and they studied the market very deeply. One thing is noticed that apple never changed their product design for a long time because people loved that. The same things happen to MacBook. No design change issue only configuration and specs. Researchers love MacBook just because of ultra-lightweight and most significantly for the BATTERY LIFE...!!! 12 HRS... The Goddamn battery life and there is no such device that will survive for this long time. ROG gives 4.5 hrs maximum. Researchers are always moving so they need a very good battery life. They also have a high configured pc and that can be maintained from anywhere nowadays.
The OS optimization is speechless in apple. The one very good thing is apple product doesn't lag at all where Android and Microsoft lag a lot. It is irritating to some extent.
So, the UX design and their optimization keep them to a commanding position. Their user interface is better than any other device. These issues affect the market and consumers' mentality from the past. Though I am not an apple fan or freak because it is overpriced and I need high configured pc, but to some extent, it is considered only for mac, not iPhone.
